The first edition of Control The Streets was released through Quality Control, Motown Records and Capitol Records in 2017. The project featured appearances by QC labelmates Quavo, Offset, Takeoff, City Girls, Lil Baby, and Lil Yachty. With guest appearances coming from the likes of Cardi B, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, and Kodak Black, among others.
Quality Control has amassed quite a camp, becoming one of the premier labels within the current industry.
“I just think that we got so many talented artists over here,” OC co-founder Pierre “Pee” Thomas told Complex back in 2018. “And the only thing we do is work. We work non-stop. Ain’t no use sitting on this stuff. Ain’t no use sitting on the product. All my artists is hustlers. When you got good work and good product, the people need to have it. You understand what I’m saying? It’s simple as that.”
To give fans a taste of things to come the label has unleashed two new songs, with Lil Baby and Dababy’s “Baby“, alongside City Girls and Saweetie’s “Come On.”
Check out both songs below and be on the lookout for the project on August 16.
