Hip Hop legends Public Enemy return with their 15th studio album “What You Gonna Do When The Grid Goes Down.”

The 17-track project follows the theme many conspiracy theorists subscribe to whereas at any giving time the world’s current technological way of living is threatened. Speaking on the addictive nature of social media by catchily asking in the title what society will do when this important aspect in our daily lives breaks down.

Public Enemy’s new album finds the group linking back up with its iconic label Def Jam marking their first project released via the label since 1998’s He Got Game soundtrack.

Cultural Institutions are important. Being an integral part of one is an honor bestowed and to uphold,” Chuck D said of their return to Def Jam. “Public Enemy songs are forever sonic prints in the sands of time. And it’s time – it’s necessary – to bring the noise again from a place called home. Def Jam. Fight The Power 2020.”

Flavor Flav would also chime in on the group’s return to Def Jam saying, “Def Jam is like the house we grew up in. It’s cool to be home.”

What You Gonna Do feature appearances from some popular new and old names like, George Clinton, DJ Premier, Cypress Hill, Run-DMC, Ice-T, Nas, Rapsody, YG, and Black Thought
