Pharoahe Monch Re-Introduces The World To Wordplay On “Palindrome”

For the older hip hop heads its been far and few when you last heard bars with arrangements and word groupings that make you rewind to understand the meaning. Today Queens, New York native Pharoahe Monch recaptures that essence with his new lyric video and song “Palindrome.”

The Organized Konfusion co-founder has formed a new group with Daru Jones and guitarist Marcus Machado called TH1RT3EN. This latest loosie produced by Nottz is the groups first release and in the video you can find Monch using an array of palindromes (and in word-unit palindromes). These are words that can have meaning backward and forwards. “God damn, dog, I spit the dogma; I am God.” The ryhmesmith uses his words intricately throughout the song putting spins on words like “Live” and denoting them to “Evil”.
