With many rappers joining forces and partnering with brands to create their own lines, Meek Mill has taken things up a notch becoming a co-owner of the iconic hat store Lids ahead of the rollout for his own exclusive release.
“I’ve always been a fan of Lids – growing up, I remember buying their hats to match my outfits and look my best,” Mill says during a press release. “It’s amazing to see my relationship with the brand come full-circle and have the opportunity to evolve as a businessman. We have a great team in place and we’re looking forward to taking Lids to new heights.”
The famous lid company was recently picked up by Fanatics and Ames Watson in February, the MMG rapper joins the Lids Ownership Group and will immediately begin to head up the creative strategy, which includes his aforementioned limited-edition, exclusive hat line, set to drop in August.
