After promising fans, he would release some videos from his ‘DROGAS WAVE’ LP, Lupe Fiasco delivers on his words dropping off the visuals to “Cripple.”
The black and white video directed by Vann Fulfs feature clips of Lupe as he delivers his bars with clips filmed around New York City.
Lupe’s visuals come almost a year after releasing his DROGAS WAVE project his seventh studio album, released last September.
“DROGAS Wave is based on a story about a group of slaves that jumped off of a slave ship transporting them from Africa,” Fiasco tells VIBE. “The slaves did not drown, and instead somehow managed to live under the sea. They spent the rest of their underwater existence sinking slave ships. ‘Drogas’ is the Spanish word for drugs. I made it an acronym which stands for ‘Don’t Ruin Us God Said.’”
