Rap vet Foxy Brown was on hand for Kandi Burruss‘s Welcome to the Dungeon Tour in New York City on Saturday night (May 18). What should have been the rap legends crowning moment quickly turned south when she was booed off stage following what was deemed by the crowd a lackluster performance.
The incident went down as The Firm rapper started to perform her 1996 cut “I’ll Be”, Foxy began to struggle with her lines and was eventually ushered off the stage. Burruss, who attempted to do a little damage control, attributed the less-than-stellar performance to Foxy’s clothing, which included a mask covering up just about her entire face.
“Y’all gotta respect my girl,” Burruss says in a clip posted to Twitter. “Let her take the mask off.”

After it all went down to add insult to injury the Dj would wind up playing a Lil Kim track that had the crowd going wild.

Although it’s been some years since we have heard from Foxy Brown, releasing her most recent 2008 Mixtape called Brooklyn’s Don Diva, the Brooklyn rep has been no stranger to the headlines. Last September, she was accused of pocketing a hefty $10,000 from a promoter and failing to perform for the show as promised. The event’s organizers issued an ultimatum saying either Foxy paid back the money or they’d sue. No word yet if that matter has been taking care of.
