Fat Joe had some words for currently incarcerated rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine in a recent interview with Angie Martinez. The iconic Bronx OG explained why he went from trying to school 6ix9ine to wanting to distance himself from the rapper completely.
To sum things up he said he’d rather be six feet under than be associated with Tekashi. Joe also expressed his disbelief at the people who still support and show love to 6ix9ine, even after he cooperated with the feds in his recent racketeering case.
“I thought he was a nice guy, and now he can’t be my friend, he can’t come around me ever again,” Joe tells Angie. “Those are rules. He crossed that line […] I pray for people who cross that line — when they talk to the police and they snitch, I pray for them.”
He added, “I’d die before you see me in the picture with Tekashi 6ix9ine.”
6ix9ine was arrested last November on multiple felony counts stemming from his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. In the months since his arrest, the 22-year-old Brooklyn native has implicated several of his co-conspirators. According to the unsealed plea deal, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York agreed “not to prosecute the defendant for the crimes set forth in Counts One through Nine …. as well as additional crimes that the defendant has told the government about” in exchange for the information.
Due to the aforementioned revelations, Fat Joe as with many who come from the streets do not condone “Snitching” in any shape form or fashion.
