The rapper surprised fans with the news OVO Fest will be returning this year and invited his hometown team to join the event.
“I hope all these guys will join me this year because we bringing OVO Fest back, so I hope we can go crazy!” Drake announced to the crowd during his speech in Toronto’s Nathan Phillips Square.

Many were disappointed when last year the event didn’t take place although Drizzy hinted his annual concert series might make its return in 2019 during the Toronto stop of his Aubrey & The Three Migos Tour.
Even more speculation of the event was made in May when Drake gifted Milwaukee Bucksowner Wes Edens’ daughter Mallory tickets after she trolled the OVO mogul wearing a Pusha T shirt to Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
No word yet on this year’s line-up but as in previous years it has usually taken place in August with the artists being revealed during the last week of June. The last festival performers consisted of Eminem, JAY-Z, Kanye West, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar.
