Chris Rivers Speaks To Late Father Big Pun On Video “Sincerely Me”

Being the son of the late great Big Pun is definitely some big shoes to fill, although after listening to his son Chris Rivers lyrical abilities one can come to the conclusion it shouldn’t be too hard to step away from his shadow and form his own lane.

Although being a child of a rap legend comes with its ups and downs as Chris Rivers looks to overcome as he resurfaces with the visuals to “Sincerely Me”. The song and video are in promotion of his forthcoming album on his new label Mello Music Group.

The new album entitled “G.I.T.U. (Greatest In The Universe), is expected to arrive on August 16.

G.I.T.U. is a title that fully encompasses the feel of this body of work,” Rivers tells HipHopDX. “It traverses my mental state, loves had and lost, stories of overcoming obstacle — both internal and external —while learning to love myself and becoming the best version of who I can be.

Both as a person and an artist, this record breaks through the boundaries of my personal limitations. Everyone’s world is their own, everyone has their own universe that they are in control of and in mine, I’m undoubtedly the ‘G.I.T.U.’”

The new video is in remembrance of the late Big Pun as you can find rivers in the clip reliving Pun’s classic videos and shots of the Bronx native in front his fathers mural.

Check out the video below and pre-order the album before August 16th on Amazon Music Here.
