It’s being reported by CBS2 Los Angeles that rapper YG’s Hollywood Hills home was raided by authorities. The raid was in connection to a pursuit and shootout that killed an innocent bystander earlier this month.
TMZ reports that LA County Sheriff’s deputies raided the home, putting four men in handcuffs while they searched. YG was not present during the raid. The raid was carried out by LASD homicide investigators and their gang task force. One person at the scene was arrested on a weapons charge.
As stated earlier the search comes following an SUV registered to the rapper being involved in a shootout with police. The police chase in Compton led to the death of one bystander and one officer being shot during a pursuit. One suspect was apprehended and another made an escape. YG reportedly maintains that he had nothing to do with the shooting and he has not been arrested in connection with the incident.
“I was nowhere near the scene of this incident, I was in Hollywood recording in the studio all day,” he wrote on Twitter. I was there until after midnight on the 4th of July and didn’t learn of these events until after they happened!”

Sources tell the website The Blast that the officers conducting the raid were looking for security footage that could possibly prove whether or not YG had any involvement with the shooting.
