It’s not a widely known fact that Will Smith actually signed on to do The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air because he was dead broke and in debt to the IRS.

Will recently sat down and broke down his rags to riches story for his new YouTube channel.

Smith first broke out with s

uccess with the release of him and Dj Jazzy Jeff‘s classic 1980’s “Parents Just Don’t Understand“.

After the hit brought tons of cash that the Philly native eventually ran through, Will being young and nieve forgot one big responsibility, paying his Taxes.

With his second Album being a flop and owing the IRS money, Smith’s then girlfriend suggested he appear on The Arsenio Hall Show in hopes of meeting some industry Big wigs.

The plan worked as he was

connected with Quincy Jones who had a script and impromptu audition ready for what would become the iconic sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
