WARREN G, SNOOP DOGG & NATE DOGG WILL BE CELEBRATED IN NEW DOCUMENTARY “G-FUNK”

West Coast rap legend Warren G, Snoop Dogg and Nate Dogg are being celebrated with a new documentary called “G FUNK“.

G-funk, or gangsta-funk, is a subgenre of hip hop music that emerged from West Coast Gangsta rap in the early 1990s, heavily influenced by 1970s funksound of artists such as Parliament-Funkadelic.

 YouTube announced that it has acquired the highly-anticipated music documentary G FUNK, which recounts the untold story of hip-hop’s most iconic subgenre through its pioneer, Warren G. the film explores the sound’s origination and lasting impact on music and culture.

The new documentary will feature never-before-seen footage and interviews with Warren G, Snoop Dogg, Chuck D, Ice Cube, Ice T, Too Short, The D.O.C., Wiz Khalifa and more.

The Docu-series is slated for release on July 11, check out the official trailer below.
