The Brooklyn Nets Pay Homage To Rap Legend Notorious B.I.G

Just Yesterday (3/12/13) NBA Team the Brooklyn Nets, held there official tribute to the late Great Rapper Notorious B.I.G with there Biggie Night.

The Team retired a special number 72 (the year he was born)  Banner in honor of the slain artist above the rafters in the Barclay’s Center, located in B.I.G’s neighborhood of Brooklyn.The Banner was inscribed with some of the artist’s most famous lyrics from his track Juicy, “Spread Love It’s The Brooklyn Way” .Held at Halftime during the match up between the Brooklyn Nets and NYC rival New York Nets, P Diddy presented the banner in front of Big’s Mother, Son Cj, Faith Evans,Lil Kim and a few more.

The ceremony comes only days after the 20th Anniversary of his untimely death, the banner serves as a reminder of just how Iconic and special Notorious B.I.G was to his community.
