MAINO DEDICATES NEW SONG TO MURDERED BRONX TEEN JUNIOR

Maino drops off his powerful new song “Could’ve been my son, dedicated to the 15-year-old wrongfully targeted and brutally murdered in the Bronx, Lesandro (Junior) Guzman-Feliz.

Junior’s murder hit especially close to home for Maino, 44, who says the teen was “just 10 days apart from his own son’s age.”

I close my eyes because I don’t want to imagine if that was mine,” he raps.

A more mature Maino in the song now contemplates the irony of his sudden about-face, head-on perpetuating violence.

“N—-s say, ‘Maino, be quiet. You done made a hundred songs perpetuating violence,” the artist says. “Oh now you woke, what you trying to kick knowledge? I tell them, ‘Not really, I’m just tired of being silent.’ ”
