Eminem’s “Bodied” Gets Rave Reviews At Toronto International Film Festival

Battle rap movie Bodied premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Thursday night (September 7), packing the 1,200-seat auditorium with festival-goers, Movie critics and diehard fans of the battle rap scene.

Introducing himself at the highly anticipated world premiere, director Joseph Khan joked the controversial film could possibly mean the end of his career, as well as anyone involved in bringing it to the festival. Although throughout the Eminem-produced film’s two-hour running time, a diverse cast of characters many of them renowned battlers playing on archetypes from the actual subculture and with the many controversial raciest and sometimes homophobic overtones somehow managed not to offend anyone.
